Houston becomes last No. 1 seed eliminated from March Madness after loss to Miami

Houston became the final No. 1 seed to fall in March Madness 2023.

The Cougars made history in the process.

And not the kind they envisioned entering the NCAA Tournament.

No. 5-seeded Miami eliminated Houston Friday evening with a 89-75 win at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. to advance to the Elite Eight.

The Hurricanes will face the winner of No. 2-seeded Texas’ clash with No. 3-seeded Xavier on Sunday.
