No. 5-seeded Miami eliminated Houston Friday evening with a 89-75 win at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. to advance to the Elite Eight.
The Hurricanes will face the winner of No. 2-seeded Texas’ clash with No. 3-seeded Xavier on Sunday.


Houston’s loss means there will be no No. 1 seeds in the Elite Eight — the first time that has ever happened in the NCAA Tournament.
