Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) issued the alert just after 1pm on Monday, urging residents of the nearby Coonarr to immediately evacuate.
The emergency warning applies to all people at properties between Gulchert Drive, Coonarr Road, Gum Tree Court, Oak Avenue, including Olive Tree Court, Ferntree Drive and Palm Beach Drive.
“A fast-moving fire is burning in the Burrum Coast National Park,” the warning states.
“It is expected to impact Palm Beach Road within the next hour. Leave immediately. Your life could be at risk. It will soon be too dangerous to drive.”
The warning adds properties may be impacted by the blaze, and that some essential services could be cut off.

“Conditions could get worse quickly and properties may be impacted,” the warning reads.
“Firefighters may not be able to stop the fire from getting closer. Do not expect a firefighter at your door.
“Power, water, and mobile phone services may stop working soon.
“Smoke will make it hard to see and breathe. The smoke will sting your eyes.”
In addition to the evacuation order, people in the wider Coonarr, Kinkuna and surrounding area have been told to stay informed about the bushfire.
