‘Luv the f— out of you’: Prosecutor turned defense attorney falls in love with client, conspires to distribute fentanyl into local jail, feds say

Robin Dunn

Robin Dunn (Bonneville County Jail).

A defense lawyer who spent 35 years as prosecutor in Idaho admitted to smuggling drugs into a county jail and “agreed that he abused a position of trust by using his position as an attorney to further his drug trafficking activities,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Robin Dwain Dunn, 69, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine. Prosecutors say investigators with the Drug Enforcement Administration received information from several sources that there was an attorney bringing drugs into the Jefferson County Jail. The investigation would lead them to Dunn, the man who served as the county’s prosecutor. He was also accused of smuggling drugs through clients into the Bonneville County Jail.
