Tottenham Hotspur want defender Evan Ndicka but the Eintracht Frankfurt star appears to be heading for Roma at the end of the season.
That is according to a report from Calciomercato, who claim that Roma now have a provisional agreement with Ndicka.
It’s stated that Roma have shown the most interest in Ndicka despite links to clubs in the Premier League.
There is allegedly an agreement on a contract at Roma worth around €2million-a-season, trebling his wages.
The report also notes that some around Roma are talking about Ndicka heading to the Italian capital for a medical.
That isn’t set in stone right now but Roma appear to be closing in on signing the out-of-contract defender ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Roma have played a back three this season without having a natural left-footer in their ranks, so Ndicka is being lined up for that role.

Jose Mourinho set to beat Tottenham to Evan Ndicka
This news may come as a blow for Tottenham.
90Min reported in February that Spurs were weighing up a deal to sign Ndicka on a free transfer.

Tottenham need to be in the market for a left-sided centre back with Clement Lenglet only on loan from Barcelona.
Spurs need competition in that area and it’s unlikely that Spurs can realistically sign Josko Gvardiol or Alessandro Bastoni.
A free transfer for Ndicka seemed to make perfect sense.
The Eintracht Frankfurt star is a good age and still has plenty of potential at 23 and he has played plenty of games on the left side of a back three.
Hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Sport1’s Christopher Michel, Ndicka has proven himself in the Bundesliga and seems ready for the next step.
Tottenham may now end up missing out though with their former boss Jose Mourinho prepared to pounce.
Tottenham may be somewhat hampered by the fact that Fabio Paratici isn’t currently operating in his director of football role.
Mourinho and Roma may have now seized their chance and made a move for Ndicka in the hope of securing his signature.
