Peter Dutton has come out swinging against the national broadcaster again, this time telling voters not to watch the ABC on election night.

The opposition leader offered this advice when asked about the ingredients of a good election night party while on Melbourne’s Fox 101.9 FM.

“I think alcohol is the first essential ingredient, I’m sure of that … responsible drinking as well,” Dutton said.

“But not watching the ABC, that would be a good start for the young ones listening at home.

He added: “Forget the ABC, and if you do that, you can probably start with a good night.”

Dutton previously told supporters to forget about “hate media” including ABC and The Guardian earlier this week.
