Amanda revealed to TMZ that Tony was taken to the hospital on Saturday and suffered from a severe spinal cord infection.
Later on, he was taken into surgery but suffered a heart attack while recovering.
Amanda told the news outlet that while Tony was heading to a dialysis treatment he went into cardiac arrest and was also facing organ failure.
Per TMZ, she explained that his death was so sudden and she is absolutely shattered by her fiance’s death as they were planning their wedding just last week as they spent nine years together.
In a statement shared on her X, formerly Twitter, account, Amanda wrote, “The last words we said to each other were ‘I love you.’ Love is an understatement. You are everything to me. My heart, my soul, and my best friend. I love you Tony Ganios.”
“It’s just unreal to me right now. It was so fast. He hadn’t felt well and hid it from me for days. When he finally told me and was taken to the hospital, his spinal cord was severely infected. They did surgery, next morning, his heart stopped. I’m crushed,” she continued in a reply.
She also took time to respond to several other comments, thanking people for their condolences.
‘MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES’
“I can’t imagine what you are going through. He was so blessed to have you- you were so blessed to have each other. My deepest, heartfelt condolences,” a fan reacted.
“So sorry for your loss. Every 80s kid is mourning with you right now,” a second replied.
“Please god tell me this isn’t true. I was going to meet him in two weeks. Finally gonna meet him after all these years. Just awful news. My heart and prayers are with you Amanda,” tweeted a third.
Horror film producer Sean Clark also weighed in on Tony’s death, per the outlet, writing, “Sad to hear of the passing of Tony Ganios aka Meat from Porky’s. Although I had many business conversations with him over the years I would not say he was a friend.”
“I did not know him well at all. However he was a nice guy and it’s a shame he passed just 2 weeks away from the big Porky’s reunion at Cult Classics Weekend in Bastrop TX in which he was supposed to attend. So with that said I’m sorry for OUR loss.”
