He has been charged with disturbing adult content on Telegram. He returned to court on 16 November 2023 to face a charge of disturbing a disturbing adult photo and video without a woman’s consent.

Who is Kurt Tay?
Kurt Tay’s real name is Tay Foo Wei who is a 41-year-old Singaporean guy. He was first charged on 1 November for sending a video of a woman performing private adult moments to a Telegram chat group on 27 October 2023. The video was sent to the group without the woman’s consent.
However, Tay already knew that it was likely to cause her humiliation. A gag order is released to protect the identity of the victim. That order extends to the name of the chat group. On 16 November 2023, Kurt Tay returned to court with his father.
The police prosecutor informed that more time was needed to complete the directions. The Attorney-General’s Chambers has given to the investigating officer. Chambers asked for 4 weeks’ adjournment.

Kurt told an interpreter that Tay wanted to apply to the Public Defender’s Office. The judge said to make a PDO application within a week and an update was to be provided to the court.
The judge told him to have his bailor at the next hearing for any fresh charges to be tendered. He can be given charges as well as a charge under the Protection from Harassment Act.
Kurt Tay will appear at the court on 11 December 2023.
Kurt Tay came into the limelight first when he auditioned for Singapore Idol in 2006 and later he carried a world Wrestling entertainment belt.
If he is convicted of disturbing intimate material without a woman’s consent, he will face 5 5-year sentence.
