Eric Sabatie and Virginie Darras were found guilty of abusing, torturing, and brutally beating Marina over the time of about 6 years, which caused Marina’s death. They both were found guilty and sentenced in June 2012 by the French Department.
The parents were sentenced to 30 years behind bars without a chance of parole for a total of 20 years.
