Brian Daboll’s Grandparents’ Death
Brian Daboll was raised by his mother’s parents Chris and Ruth Kirsten who both died. Brian said about his grandparents,
“Oh, they were the best. It pains my heart that they weren’t here for this (Giants) press conference, and this announcement to be a head coach. That’s all they wanted for me, really, since I started coaching.”

“You know, I went back to Buffalo (in 2018) to coach my hometown team, but it was to be near them too. I hadn’t seen (much of) them for a long time, and I got to take my kids over and see them every Friday — take them out to dinner, have them over to the house, and do all those things for the last four years.
