Producer, business owner, and citizen of Italian and Canadian origin, Andrea Iervolino. In 2003, he made his feature film debut in Italy with The Cavalier of Love. In 2014, he coproduced The Humbling, which had its world premiere at the 71st Venice International Film Festival, marking his entry into American film production.
Waiting for the Barbarians (2019) and In Dubious Battle had their world premieres at the 76th Venice International Film Festival (2016; Toronto International Film Festival and 73rd Venice International Film Festival).
In 2016, he served as the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival president and a representative of Italian film abroad for the Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF).
Iervolino and Monika Gomez del Campo Bacardi founded AMBI Media Group in 2013 as a global alliance of businesses involved in all stages of filmmaking, from development to distribution. On June 18, 2018, President Sergio Mattarella of Italy and the Italian Embassy in Ottawa bestowed the Knighthood of the Italian Republic (Cavaliere Della Repubblica Italiana) upon Iervolino.
The highest award bestowed by the Republic for “national distinction” in sectors like literature, arts, economics, public service, social, charitable, and humanitarian activities, and lengthy and honorable service in civilian and military professions.
Iervolino has been recognized as a Producer to Watch and one of Variety’s Dealmakers. According to Variety, he will be among the 500 global media business leaders with the most influence in 2020.
