Leo is an Indian Tamil action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-written by Rathna Kumar and Dheeraj Vaidhi. It is the third film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and is produced by S.S. Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios and co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy.
The film stars Vijay as the title character and co-stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mysskin.
The film was officially announced in January 2023 with the working title Thalapathy 67, as it is Vijay’s 67th film as a lead actor, and the film’s title was announced a few days later.

Principal photography began in Chennai in the same month, with sporadic programs in Kashmir, followed by other programs at the original location, and was completed by mid-July. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Manoj Paramahansa, and editing by Philomin Raj.
Leo is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide in standard and IMAX formats on October 19, 2023.
The film was made on a budget of 250-300 million rupees, and Vijay reportedly received 120 million rupees (US$15 million) as remuneration. However, he reportedly opted for a revenue-sharing model to help produce the film.
According to the basis, he will receive his 50 billion rupees (US$6.3 million) as an advance payment, and a portion of the profits will be received as actor’s remuneration.
