Trevor John Francis aka Trevor Francis was a footballer from the United Kingdom who played as a forward for a number of clubs in England, the United States, Italy, Scotland, and Australia. 

Trevor was involved in a record move in 1979 by scoring the winning goal in the European Cup final against Nottingham Forest just months later. He scored 12 goals for England and won 52 caps for England.

Nottingham Forest broke the British transfer record when they paid £1.15 million for him in 1979.

Trevor Francis passed away at his home near Marbella in Spain on 24 July 2023 at the age of 69. A spokesman for the family said,

“He had a heart attack at his apartment in Spain this morning. On behalf of the family, this has come as a huge shock to everybody. We are all very upset. He was a legendary footballer but he was also an extremely nice person.”

Trevor Francis’s full name was Trevor John Francis. He was born on 19 April 1954 to Roy Francis (father) and Phyllis Francis (mother) in Plymouth, England. He was 69 years old when he died.

His zodiac sign was Aries. He was a Christian and followed the Christianity religion. He graduated from Plymouth’s Public Secondary School. He joined Birmingham City as a schoolboy.

Trevor Francis was married to Helen in 1974 with whom he had two children. His wife passed away on 5 April 2017 after battling cancer. Trevor was 1.78m tall and his weight was around 73 kg.

Trevor’s ethnic background is not known but his nationality was British. He left a good net worth of $5 million behind his death for his children.

Trevor made his debut for Birmingham City’s first team in 1970 at the age of 16. He ended his first season against Bolton Wanderers with 15 goals from just 22 games. His most famous goal for Birmingham was done on 30 October 1976 when he turned away from the touchline and cut inside two Queens Park Rangers defenders.
