Pinki added to the conversation that she had been advised to see her mother in the hospital hours later and to ask to see her grandchild Sponge. The sponge is the son of Bongekile Simelane, a.k.a. Babes Wodumo, and the late Mampintsha. Pinki could say her goodbyes as informed of Zamanguni Gumede’s death at around 10 pm Sunday. Before Mampintsha’s death, Pinki said her mother’s health was a concern, and after his death, things got worse.

Gumede’s last public appearance was at her son’s funeral. The musician passed just a week before Christmas Eve following a mild stroke. The KwaZulu-Natal government had said that it had agreed to help with Mampintsha’s funeral. Gumede’s propensity of arriving late to significant events was noticed by viewers of the funeral, who recalled her tardiness at his wedding and memorial service, according to citizen.

Gumede, a patient at the Durban Wentworth Hospital, passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. Following Mamphintsha, who died on Christmas Eve, comes her demise. During Mampintsha’s memorial service and funeral, Gumede was clearly ill and need support from her family. A few weeks after Gumede was brought to the hospital, her daughter Pinki begged the public for assistance in getting her transferred to a private facility. Pinki disclosed that Gumede had a stroke that also had an impact on her liver.
