West Ham United could be poised to bring a huge star to the London Stadium in January…
What’s the latest?
According to Spanish publication Marca, the Hammers are one of many clubs currently interested in Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The Costa Rican has fallen down in the pecking order since the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma and given his quality will be feeling like he deserves a number one spot.
He could be offered that by GSB, but also faces competition from Olympiakos and high-flying Napoli.
He can have a stellar World Cup
With the 35-year-old poised to star for his nation at the upcoming World Cup, it is likely that this move would be his last before bringing to an end an illustrious career.
The stopper boasts three Champions League successes, as well as numerous league titles with both Real Madrid and the Parisian giants.
It could also be the perfect time to bring him in, as David Moyes could finally displace the underwhelming Łukasz Fabiański and allow Navas to star until his long-term successor is found.

Having left Spain as a “Real Madrid hero”, as dubbed by journalist Andrew Cesare, the 107-cap legend could bring a wealth of experience to a West Ham side that is somewhat lacking.
Although his age and dwindling play time might be a worry for some fans, the fact that he still ranks in the top 1% for save percentage across Europe’s top five leagues should quickly expel doubts.

How many points did West Ham end the Premier League season with?
Navas is a top-quality performer and has been at the highest level for many years now. Just last season he averaged a 7.03 SofaScore rating in Ligue 1, conceding just 18 goals in 21 games whilst making an astounding 61 saves.
He has demonstrated his quality in the Champions League too, with Shaka Hislop declaring that he is “the most underrated goalkeeper in world football,” while Herculez Gomez went as far as to say he was “the most underrated goalkeeper of our generation” after “singlehandedly” keeping PSG in the competition.
Clearly, he is capable of the spectacular, with writer Ives Garlacep lauding him for his numerous “stellar” stops to deny Barcelona back in 2021.
Now poised to shine for Costa Rica in Qatar, any success they have will likely be down to his aforementioned stellar heroics once again.
He could then be set for a move to the English capital, to aid the Irons on their European journey and push up the Premier League.
