This is a piece of good news for Andhra Pradesh State students because, on 24 February 2020, the Andhra Pradesh State Government declared the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023 to the students.

Under this Scheme, scholarships are provided to all eligible students. The Andhra Pradesh Education Department assigned Rs.2,300 Crores for the financial year.

This scholarship scheme will help students who are amazing at their studies. Through this Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh Govt will give financial benefits like Mess fees, Tuition fees, Hostel fees, and others.

AP Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023 is already approved, check 1st / the the 2nd phase amount, 1st /2nd installment release date, ITI students to get Rs 10,000, polytechnic students to get Rs 15,000 & degree students to get Rs 20,000 per annum for their hostel & mess charges in their institutions.

This scheme provides to improve the GER (Gross Enrolment Rate), provide quality higher education, ensure the continuation of students in the stream of higher education, and provided the students with essential skills.

Through this Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh Govt will give financial benefits like Mess fees, Tuition fees, Hostel fees, and others to BPL students. 

Polytechnic students get Rs15,000, ITI (Industrial Training Institute Courses) students will get Rs 10,000 every year, and degree students get Rs 20,000 as fee compensation, and Full fee compensation is provided for SC/ST students irrespective of courses.

Eligibility 

The students pursuing the following courses are eligible-

  • Polytechnic
  • ITI (Industrial Training Institute Courses)
  • Degree
  • PG/Ph.D

The students must be enrolled in the following institution:- 

  • Government or Government Aided
  • Private Colleges affiliated to State Universities/ Boards.

There are some other rules:-

  • The family’s annual income should be less than Rs 2.5 Lakh per anum.

  • Beneficiaries should only have the wetland below 10 acres/ agricultural land below 25 acres/ or wetland and agricultural land under 25 acres.

  • The beneficiaries should not own any four-wheelers (Car, Taxi, Auto, etc). 

  • Government employees are not eligible for the scheme.

  • All sanitary workers irrespective of their salary/ recruitment, are eligible.

  • If anyone in the family is availing pension then he or she is not eligible for the scheme.

  • Aadhar card
  • College admission certificate
  • Admission fee receipt
  • Income certificate
  • BPL or EWS certificates
  • Parents’ occupational certificate
