Techno artist Juan Mendez’s management Triangle Agency confirmed the news of the passing of Juan Mendez, his partner Simone Ling, and Luis Vasquez (darkwave musician The Soft Moon) in an incident. They all passed away on 19 January 2024.

Simon Ling was known as the partner of the famous JD Silent Servant (John Juan Mendez).

Legendary producer and musician Silent Servant, his wife (Silent Editions), and Soft Moon passed away.

Silent Servant’s administration Triangle Agency confirmed the news of passing news of Silent, his partner Simon Ling, and Luis Vasquez in an email to the Resident Advisor earlier on 19 January 2024.

However, their cause of death has not been revealed yet. Their passing news has shocked the music community.

Simone Ling’s friends and family are experiencing the great loss of their loved ones. They are struggling with the heartbreaking truth of her departure.

Simone Ling and her husband/partner Silent Servant diversed voices both in front of and behind the camera. Simone Ling was a member of BAFTA/LA, MPEG/IATSE, The BAFTA Learning, inclusion, The Producers Guild of America, and Talent Committee Deputy Chair.

Simone was the advisor for Sundance Co//ab Producing and Screenwriting classes. She helped to lead the outreach for the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program among BIPOC communities, Asian Americans, and Asian communities.

She was the driving force for programming for the Urbanworld Film Festival and the International Feature portion of the Tribeca Film Festival.

Simone Ling was a Fulbright Scholar and served as a senior lecturer in Story and Development at AFIT. She earned a master’s degree in Journalism from Stanford University and a master’s degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford.

She was knwon for films Love’s Kitchen, They, and Mosquita y Mari.
