Shiv Das Meena’s Career
Shiv Das Meena started his career as Kancheepuram Assistant Collector (Trainee) and worked as Assistant Collector, Kovilpatti, Vellore Additional Collector, and District Collector successively.
In Tamil Nadu, he has served well in so many departments like the rural development department, transport department, and land administration department.
He has held many significant positions including the principal secretary of the cooperative, food, and consumer protection department.
Immediately after Stalin took charge as the chief minister, the state government sent him under the control of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, back to work on the request of the Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.
Shiv Das Meena is currently working as Additional Chief Secretary of, the Municipal Administration, and Water Supply Department.
Shiv Das is the senior-most IAS officer in Tamil Nadu. Notably, he had served closely with MK Stalin earlier when he was serving as the Minister for Local Administration in the cabinet led by his father, the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi.
