Roy was known for his incredible feats of strength, including levitating tigers, dissappearing elephants, changing himself into a python, and levitating tigers. He was 75. Career

For 35 years, Mr. Horn and Mr. Fischbacher entertained Las Vegas audiences with a sorcerer’s extravaganza that mixed the glamour of sequined costumes and feathered headdresses with smoke-and-laser magic and the circus thrills of exotic animals, including rare white tigers and white lions. A six-ton elephant disappeared, a tiger floated out over the audience, and Mr. Horn slithered down and changed into a snake under their spells. A white tiger also transformed into a stunning woman.

Tiger Incident

On October 3, 2003, Horn’s birthday, Mantacore, a seven-year-old white tiger, attacked Horn during a performance at the Mirage. (Media accounts commonly spell the tiger’s name incorrectly as “Montecore. Horn urged Mantacore to say “hello” to the audience while holding his microphone to his mouth, deviating from the act’s script. Horn’s sleeve was bit by the Mantacore in response.

Animal Rights

Although most animal rights groups oppose the use of wild animals in entertainment, few few have ever accused Siegfried & Roy of abusing animals. Mr. Horn claimed that theirs had daily handling exercise, specialised meals, and even three monthly dental cleanings. He was photographed holding large cats around his neck while stroking and loving animals. His training techniques were referred to as “affection conditioning.”
