Paul James O’Grady was an English comedian, broadcaste, actor, writer, and foremr drag queen. He married twice. First he got married to Teresa Fernandes and Later he got married ot Andre Portasio.

He passed awya on 28 March 2023 becaue of at the age of 67. However, his exact cause of death is still not revaled. His demise was annoucned by his partner Andre Portasio. She said,

“It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.

“We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss.

“He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion.

“I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years.”

Wife Teresa Fernandes

It is belived that he had beeb in a marriage of convenience with Portuguese woman Teresa Fernandes. He had been not in activne rewalitonship with her. It is alos said that he had been married wit her from 1977 to 2005. However which fact is true, it is not known.

Wife Andre Portasio

He got married to his ballet partner Andre Portasio in August 2017. This cuple got hitched druing a 30 minute ceremony at the prestigious Goring HOtel in centeral London.

Paul had a duaghte named Sharon who was born in 1974 with his friend Diane Jansen. His daughter got marreid her childhod friend Philip Moseley and Paul gave her away at her wedding. He ha a grandson named Abel and a granddaughter named Halo.

Career and Achievements

Paul O Grady played vaious role in many movies including The Bill, Chimera, The New Statesman, In the Name of the Father, Top of the Pops, The Big Breakfasth, An Evening with Lily Savage, Love Bites with Lily Savage, Outtake TV, Eyes Down, Doctore Who, The One and Only Des O’Connor, The One and Only Cilla Black, and many more.

He won many awards thoughout his career including British Academy Television Awards, British Comedy Awards, and National Televison Awards.

He won the RSPCA’s Anima Hero Awards for outstanding Contributino to Animal Welfatre in September 2016.
