Palhinha Jogador defended the colors of Atlético-MG. He played for the club between 1980 and 1981. He scored 27 goals in 77 appearances. He was part of one of the great Galo squadrons. He was a 2-time champion of Minas Gerais and runner-up in the 1980 Brazilian Championship.
