Ole Paus Wife – Ole Christian Paus, popularly known as Ole Paus, was a Norwegian singer, songwriter, poet, and author. He was widely considered to be the foremost troubadour of the contemporary Norwegian ballad tradition. Paus was born into the Paus family as the son of General Ole Otto Paus. He was also the father of composer Marcus Paus.

Ole Paus was known for his socially conscious songwriting and biting social commentary that targeted both the left and right of the political spectrum. Despite his family background as a “blue blood” Norwegian, he challenged authority and societal norms. Paus collaborated with several artists and wrote some of Norway’s best-known songs. He was often described as the Norwegian counterpart to Bob Dylan and as the “voice of the nation.”

Sadly, Ole Christian passed away on 12 December 2023 in Drammen, Norway, at the age of 76.

Ole Paus, a well-known Norwegian artist, was previously married to Benedicte Paus, a renowned Norwegian doctor and medical geneticist. Who Is Benedict Paus?

Benedicte Paus is a renowned Norwegian medical geneticist who has made significant contributions to the field of medicine. She currently holds the position of senior physician at the Department of Medical Genetics at Oslo University Hospital, MD. Additionally, she is a professor II in medicine (medical genetics) at the University of Oslo. 

Benedicte Paus grew up in the beautiful town of Svelvik and completed her medical degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen in 1988. She attained her MD degree from the University of Bergen in 1994. 

In recognition of her expertise and experience, she was appointed by the Cabinet on 13th December 2013 as a member of the Biotechnology Board, which is now known as the Biotechnology Council, for the period 2014–17. Her appointment was extended for the period 2019–2023. 

She comes from a family of accomplished professionals, including her father, Jens Severin Christensen, who is a graduate engineer and factory manager, and her mother, Karin Benedikte Christensen, who is a librarian. Her mother’s family is of German-Baltic origin and had a noble landowner background from Estonia.
