The body of a 22-year-old live-in partner was allegedly placed in a refrigerator at a 24-year-old man’s dhaba in Najafgarh before he wed another woman the same day.
The Nikki Yadav murder case, which came to light in the national capital Delhi, is being discussed all over the country. The crime is being investigated by Delhi Police.

Nikki Yadav Murder Case Update
A 24-year-old guy is accused of killing his live-in partner, according to information from the police. The young lady is Nikki Yadav, and she desired to wed Prem Sahil.
Sahil initially keeps Nikki in the dark about the fact that the family arranges his marriage abroad, but when she finds out, the two start to argue.
The wedding was scheduled for February 9 and 10, so Sahil murdered Nikki in a friend’s dhaba on that day and concealed her body in the refrigerator. Following the execution of this massacre, Sahil was married on the same day as the family had desired.
CBI Inquiry
According to the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch, the murder occurred in a dhaba in the Mitraon village. The accused and Nikki Yadav (24), who both reside in Dwarka, began dating in 2018.
They occasionally welcomed Nikki’s sister to stay with them as well. A friend reported the woman’s disappearance to the police. The cop said that we learned from someone that he hasn’t seen Nikki in a while.
Given that the accused had also left the home and married someone else, he had his suspicions that something had happened to her.

Family
Living in Jhajjar, Haryana, Nikki’s family was also unaware of the daughter. A team led by DCP Satish Kumar was formed and officials were sent to Gehlot’s family home in Mitraon, but no one was there. Sahil’s phone was off, making it impossible to reach the family. He was eventually taken into custody from the village of Kair after numerous raids.
How They Met
The 24-year-old suspect informed Delhi Police that he met the victim, Nikki Yadav, in 2018 at a tutoring facility in the Uttam Nagar neighbourhood, according to the preliminary inquiry. Later, they got together, got married, and moved in together.
Sahil Gahlot claimed that his family had been pressuring him to wed a different woman, and in December 2022, the accused’s engagement and wedding dates were eventually set for February 9 and 10, respectively.
Nikki was not made aware of the accused’s engagement or marriage preparations. She confronted the accused after learning about it in some way, and disputes ensued.
Later, using a data connection he kept in his car, Sahil strangled Nikki. After disposing of the victim’s remains, Sahil returned to his house and got married to a different woman.
Arrested
Sahil Gehlot, a pharmacy graduate whose family owns the dhaba in Mitraon village, was detained by the Delhi police. Nikki Yadav has been named as the deceased.
A resident who knew the pair alerted the police about the missing woman. In Jhajjar, Haryana, the woman’s relatives was unable to reach her. The Mitraon home of Gehlot’s family was visited by the police, but nobody was there.
He turned off his phone. He was eventually taken into custody from Kair village after many raids. At the police station at Baba Haridas Nagar, a mruder case has been opened.
