Monterey Park shooting Victims List: Families remember those killed in Monterey Park mass shooting: ‘Our biggest cheerleader,’ ‘the life of any party
On Monday information was emerging about the victims of a mass shooting in Monterey Park, California, over the weekend that left 11 people dead and nine others wounded.
In this mass shooting, a woman in her 50s, four women in their 60s and a woman in her 70s, as well as two men in their 60s and three men in their 70s, are dead, according to a spokesperson(Sarah Ardalani) for the Los Angeles County medical examiner. The Health Services Department of LA County announced the 11th fatality, a woman in her 70s on Monday. The attack was 10, with at least another 10 injured.
The mass shooting happened Saturday night amid Lunar New Year celebrations at the Star Ballroom dance studio, home to 60,000 people in the predominantly Asian American Southern California city.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the suspect, 72-year-old Hu Can Tran, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the van on Sunday. Even on Monday, the officials were looking for the reasons for this.

My Nhan, 65
Nahn was a frequent student of Lai Lai Ballroom & Dance, another Target studio in Alhambra, California.
Ardalani said that My Nhan, was killed by a bullet. According to a statement by Nhan’s niece, Fonda Quan, that was shared online, Nahan’s family said the loss of “MyMee” is still “sinking in” on Monday.
After she finished her work, she drives to Lai Lai to take group classes or take private classes. According to Kapitanchuk, Nahan had been dancing for decades with her dance partner and friend Mike, who was injured in the shooting.

Valentino Alvero, 68
Ardalani said on Monday that Valentino Alvaro, 68, had died of gunshot wounds.
“My dad loved God, he loved people, and he loved to dance. I hope he’s dancing now, in that great gig in the sky,” Alvero’s daughter, Kristenne Alvero, told Rolling Stone.
Ming Wei MaMy Nhan, 65
The Los Angeles Times and CBS News identified Ming Wei Ma as another victim of the shooting. According to witnesses, Ma attempted to stop the gunman before he was killed.
“According to the chat, he was the first to rush the shooter,” Eric Chen, a friend of Ma, told CBS News. “He was just caring, and other first, people first kind of person.”
Other victims who are killed and identified are Lilan Li, a 63-year-old woman; and Xiujuan Yu, a 57-year-old woman.
