It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Mario L. Louis.
46-year-old Mario L. Louis was identified as the victim killed in a fatal Omaha car crash that occurred on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
According to Omaha Police, police were dispatched to 72nd and Pine for a single-vehicle collision.
At 7:03 a.m. Sunday, the driver of a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 was traveling south on 72nd, and witnesses claim they jumped a red light. The motorist then drifted to the right and collided with the traffic signal’s concrete foundation.
The driver, identified by authorities as Mario L. Louis, 46, was taken to Bergan Mercy with CPR in process and confirmed dead there.
