Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is a versatile actress who made a name for herself with her performance in “Never Have I Ever,” the comedy series on Netflix.
Out of the 15,000 applicants that submitted applications for an open casting call for the show in 2019, Ramakrishnan was cast for the lead role of Devi Vishwakumar.
She recorded her audition film using her mother’s camera at a nearby library, and after being requested to submit four more videos, she ultimately had a screen test in Los Angeles and was accepted for the role.
