A Louisiana pastor shot his wife in front of the pair’s 3 children before turning the gun on himself inside a hotel in Mississippi on Wednesday 21 June 2023.
He has been recognized locally as Danny Prenell Jr., who is 25 years old. He is the lead pastor at the Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Louisiana.
So many Facebook posts recognized his wife as Gabby Prenell, who is 27 years old. The pair have 3 children together.

Louisiana Pastor Shoots Wife In Front of Their Children
McComb police are officially finding out after a Louisiana pastor, who reportedly shot his wife and then himself.
The officials said the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 June 2023 at the Hampton Inn in McComb.

Police recognized the pastor and his wife as Danny Prenell, Jr. (25) and Gabrielle Prenell (27), both of Alexandria, Louisiana. According to police, Danny shot his wife 2 times and shot himself once.
Pastor’s wife Gabrielle Prenell was immediately airlifted from Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb to the UMMC (University of Mississippi Medical Center) in Jackson.
It is reported that Gabrielle was shot in the abdomen and in the arm.
Danny right now is in stable condition at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Once he is discharged from the hospital, he would be arrested and charged with so many felonies.
Police said that they’re treating this incident as a domestic violence incident. Their children are in the custody of child protective services.
