The Milwaukee Bucks (5-0) are the last undefeated team of the 2022 NBA season after overcoming the Atlanta Hawks (4-2) Saturday night at Fiserv Forum, while the Los Angeles Lakers (0-5) remain the only winless team.

With the Sacramento Kings (1-4) defeating the Miami Heat (2-5) Saturday for its first victory of the year, the Purple & Gold is officially the worst team in the league.

Since the Bucks and the Lakers are living two opposite realities, it feels as if though LeBron James is passing the baton to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

James, 37, is seemingly losing his battle to Father Time and Antetokounmpo, 27, is only getting better as he continues on his NBA journey.

The Golden State Warriors (3-3) are a dynasty that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, anytime soon, so the Greek Freak will be tasked with what James attempted to do for nearly half-a-decade — stop Stephen Curry and company.

Giannis Antetokounmpo leading MVP race

Though it’s still extremely early into the season, it’s safe to say Antetokounmpo is by far leading the MVP race through the opening games.

He’s averaging 34.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 blocks to start the season.

Bucks will look to extend its unbeaten streak from five to seven as they host the Detroit Pistons on Monday and Wednesday.

Lakers, meanwhile, face the Denver Nuggets on Sunday at Crypto.com Arena in search of a first win this season.
