Gail Fontenot & Jose Cardenas Death, Obituary: 2 killed in Friday Double-Fatal Crash near Picayune
The victims of Friday, August 19, 2022, double-fatal vehicle crash in Pearl River County has been identified as 35-year-old Gail Fontenot and 29-year-old Jose Cardenas, both of Picayune, Mississippi.
They both died in a single-vehicle crash Friday night near Picayune.

Preliminary Findings reveals that, Fontenot was operating a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 11, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and came into contact with a substantial tree around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Fontenot and her passenger Cardenas were killed as a result of injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
