However, in round 8, he faced a setback when he was temporarily sent off the field for a hip drop tackle on Parramatta’s Matt Doorey. Despite this, Brisbane managed to win the game with a score of 26-16.
Later in round 22, Mam once again shone by scoring two tries, contributing to Brisbane’s 32-10 victory over the Sydney Roosters.
In the 2023 NRL season, Mam continued to impress by playing in 25 games for Brisbane and scoring a total of 18 tries. However, the season ended on a bittersweet note as Brisbane lost 26-24 to Penrith in the 2023 NRL Grand Final, despite Mam’s remarkable second-half hat-trick.
