After a two-year pregnancy, Bodal gave birth to a daughter called Ellen Bodal in 1981. After the birth of his first son in 1989, Alexander Olav Bodal was born.

How They Met
Soon after the birth of their first child, Elisabeth Bodal and Bernt Bodaldecided to end their relationship. Shortly after that, he met and began dating television actress Elizabeth Lyn Vargas. They eventually tied a knot with one another after some time. Elizabeth and Bernt are childless. Bodal and Vargas divorced in July of the following year, following its first announcement in October of that year. However, they did not offer an explanation for why they were shielded from view. Bernt spends most of his free time with his friends playing in a rock band.
