Shocking news shook the whole world as the passing news of Irish musician Sinead O Connor came out in July 2023. She was found unresponsive at her south London home in July 2023. She was pronounced dead at the age of 56. Southwark Coroner’s Court released a statement on 9 January 2024 that reads,

“This is to confirm that Ms O’Connor died of natural causes. The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death.”

Did Sinead O Connor Commit Suicide?

Sinead O Connor was found unresponsive on 26 July 2023 at her home in Herne Hill, South London. Initially, police said that her death was not being treated as suspicious. His burial service was held at Dean’s Grange Cemetery on 8 August 2023.

Yesterday on 9 January 2024, the London Inner Southwark Coroner’s Court announced that Sinead passed away due to natural causes and age-related issues.

Some people are searching on the internet for “Did Sinead O Connor commit suicide?” but after the statement of the Court, it has been cleared that she didn’t commit suicide. Her death was a natural death due to age-related issues.

Sinead O Connor was struggling with mental health issues for years. She revealed her diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

She didn’t commit suicide but her son Shane who committed suicide at the age of 17. She revealed,

“Been living as undead night creature since… He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him.”

Sinead O Connor was an Irish singer, songwriter, and activist who made her debut studio album “The Lion and the Cobra” which was released in 1987. She released another album “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got” in 1990 which was her biggest commercial success. Her 1990 album’s 7 million copies were sold worldwide.
