Chess Grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa Parents – Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is an Indian chess grandmaster who became an international master at the age of 10 he became the youngest person at the time to do so.
Rameshbabu became a grandmaster at the age of 12 and was the second-youngest at the time to do so. At the age of 16, he became the youngest player to defeat world champion Magnus Carlsen on 22 February 2022 beating Magnus in a rapid game at the Airthings Masters Rapdi Chess Tournament.

Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa competed at the Chess World Cup 2023 Final where he was defeated by Magnus Carlsen in a tiebreak. Magnus defeatd Rameshbabu to become Chess World Cup Champion on 24 August 2023.
Magnus won the first of two tiebreak games. However, Rameshbabu took home a staggering sum of Rs 66 lakh after his battle with Magnus.

“The arenas where Praggnanandhaa plays are so silent that I am always afraid people can hear the loud ‘daba daba’ of my heart palpitating,” said Nagalaxmi in an earlier interview. “I don’t make eye contact with my son during any of his games because I don’t want him to know that I know what he is feeling. Though he is trained not to show emotion, as a mother I can tell when he is confident or crestfallen.”
