Arrest Warrant Issued Against Rapper Kodak Black

Rapper Kodak Black is the subject of a Florida police arrest order after it is claimed that he disregarded the terms of his bail by refusing to take a drug test earlier this month. New court records state that an arrest warrant for Kodak was approved by a judge on Thursday and was submitted in Broward County court yesterday.

According to the documents, Kodak is to be detained if any sheriff’s officers come across him, according to TMZ. According to the judge, Kodak has been discovered to have made mistakes twice recently.

The organisation where he is required to show up for random drug testing says that on February 3, he did not show up for screening and did not provide a sample. On February 8, the same organisation claimed Kodak had submitted a sample, but they claim it was tainted.

He tested positive for residues of fentanyl, but the exact amount is unknown, according to the agency. That was sufficient for a magistrate to order the arrest of the man.

Further orders in this Oxy case from last year call for him to be detained without bond until his subsequent trial if he is apprehended. In July of last year, Kodak was detained for trafficking and unlawful possession of a controlled drug.

At least 31 oxycodone pills were reportedly discovered by police in his vehicle, which was seized during a traffic stop in Fort Lauderdale. He was granted freedom after posting a $75,000 bail but only under the condition that he keep his pee clean.

Black Was Sentenced To 46 Months Prison

The controversial rapper has had prior run-ins with the police. On New Year’s Day of last year, he was detained on a misdemeanour trespassing allegation. He entered a guilty plea to an allegation of sexual assault from 2016 in 2021.

Black was also convicted guilty of a slew of weapons-related charges in 2019 and received a 46-month sentence in federal prison. Before his appearance at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, he was arrested on suspicion of falsifying information on the federal forms used to buy three firearms from a Miami gun store.

One of the purchased weapons was discovered at a shooting attempt in Pompano Beach, where, according to the prosecution, “a rival rap artist was the planned target.”

Criminal History

In 2016, after a performance in Florence, South Carolina, Kodak was charged with assaulting a fan in a hotel room. She claimed that despite her repeated requests for him to stop, the artist bit her on the neck and breast.

The attack was reported by the girl, a high school student at the time, to the school nurse, who then contacted the police. He was originally charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony.

Kodak confessed in court that he bit the woman and expressed regret, according to Ed Clements, the 12th Circuit Solicitor in Florence County, who spoke to TMZ.
