Amartya Sen Daughter – Amartya Kumar Sen is an Indian economist and philosopher who has lived and worked in the United Kingdom and the United States since 1972. Amartya Kumar Sen was born on 3 November 1933 in Santiniketan, Bengal Province, British India (Bolpur-Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India). He is 89 years old as of 2022. He was born in a Bengali Hindu Baidya family. He is well educated. In 1940, he began attending St. Gregory’s School in Dhaka. He was accepted to Patha Bhavana, Shantiniketan, in the fall of 1941, where he finished his formal education.
He transferred from the University of Calcutta to Presidency College in 1951, where he graduated with a B.A. in economics, First in First Class, and a minor in mathematics.
