Adam Henson is married to Charlie who had a stomach bug after she fell ill over Christmas in 2020. When she was feeling unwell in February 2021, she got an appointment and was referred for various tests.
According to reports, there was nothing to show up despite Charlie having bouts of diarrhea and feeling drained. The tests revealed that her body was not consuming food and she was said to do medication. Charlie told The Telegraph,
“I was absolutely convinced there was something seriously wrong. I tried to ignore it, telling myself I was just nervous, but I think from that moment, deep down, I knew I was in trouble.”
Later her doctor found a 4.5cm growth on her pancreas which indicated that she had pancreatic cancer. Doctors said that it was the first stage of pancreatic cancer and they would need to operate the cancer.
Charlie underwent surgery removing the wide part of the pancreas, the gall bladder, and a part of the duodenum. She remained in intensive care for 3 days.
