Taking to social media, Jesse Paris wrote that her father passed away after a brief illness and that at the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loved ones. As we have already mentioned, Verlaine died at 73. Jesse Paris said that he was suffering from a short illness and was even getting treatment for the same. However, he could not be saved. Now, everyone is mourning his sudden death by taking to Twitter and posting heartfelt tributes and condolences to him. The internet has gotten flooded with tributary posts since then.

Tom Verlaine Cause Of Death
Releasing a statement, Wynn said that Tom was his guitar hero at a time when he needed one most. He further added that he spent the entire year of 1981 practicing daily to Marquee Moon. Talking about the same, Wynn said that Tom’s soloing showed him he could be a virtuoso and dangerous at the same, more Coltrane or Ornette than the arena rockers of the day. “It was a revelation and I was hoping my Jazzmaster could somehow channel his when I played the solo on ‘Halloween’ on the first Dream Syndicate album. Such an immeasurable influence on me and, of course, on so many of fellow guitarist friends.” said Wynn.
Verlaine released eight solo albums on Elektra, Warner Bros, Virgin, I.R.S, Fontana, and Rykodisc from 1979 to 1992. Let us add that these said albums continued the enigmatic authorial voice Tom created on Television. The guitarist remained inactive for 14 years and after taking such a long break, he returned in 2006 with the simultaneous release of the instrumental album “Around” and the vocal collection “Songs and Other Things” on the Chicago-based independent label Thrill Jockey.
