Tim Burgess was Duffy’s former bandmate in The Charlatans. Tim announced this saddening news on his official Twitter account. He shared this heart-wrenching message, Tim wrote that “Another tragic loss of a beautiful soul. He further continued and stated that Martin Duffy stepped in to save the Charlatans when we lost Rob. Tim also stated that Duffy played with them at Knebworth and was a true friend.” Tim continued further and stated that Duffy toured with me in his solo band too – he was a pleasure to spend time with. Martin Bernard Duffy was born on 18 May 1967 and he was popularly known as Duffy. Duffy was an English keyboardist who started his career by playing in Felt and later played with Primal Scream. Duffy’s genres were Alternative Rock and Indie Rock. Reports have stated that Duffy was brought up in Rednal, a small neighborhood in the southern part of Birmingham.
