Christopher Dowling is a former swimmer from Malta, was born on June 15, 1944, in Sliema. At the Summer Olympics in 1960, he took part in the men’s 100-meter freestyle competition. Christopher Dowling participated in multiple sports all during his school days. Although Dowling’s best sports for Malta were water polo and swimming.

Reports have stated that Christopher Dowling was only sixteen years old when he was selected to represent Malta at the Summer Olympics in Rome back in the year 1963. Reports have further claimed that Dowling competed in the men’s 100-meter freestyle as well. Later after that championship, his time in the preliminary heats was the slowest of all other 52 swimmers. Reports also suggest that Dowling earned notoriety in the sport of water polo as well. He majorly competed with Balluta WPC, and apart from that in the year 1963, he represented his nation at the Mediterranean Games in Naples, Italy.

Christopher had water sports in his blood because his father Jimmy, and his uncles Buddy and Ralph Dowling were also great water polo players.
