Who Was Carol Rofstad?
According to the police, two guys, one of them was carrying a club, were seen on December 22, 1975, between 10 and 10:15 p.m. Between the ages of 18 and 25, both were white men. Rofstad’s purse included cash, but there was no sign of a sexual assault. Two journalists and a retired Chicago police investigator intend to revisit the “Carol’s Last Christmas” case over the course of nine episodes.
Five episodes of the series, which debuted on December 15, are currently available online on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and other platforms. According to Ally Daskalopoulos, a freelance journalist with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University, “I think college students are interested to know what happened here.” “I believe it is crucial that Illinois State University recognize and honor her memory.”
Rofstad’s sister Kuhn claimed that when she met with Normal police in February, she discovered that the investigation had received little to no follow-up. She claimed that the family now feels hopeful that the matter is being taken seriously because a new investigator has lately been assigned to it. Everyone is now irate that such a murder investigation didn’t receive the required follow-up, according to Kuhn. “No matter how difficult it is, you have to do what you can when you see situations like that in life.” Thus, not much information has been revealed in the case yet.
