According to the reports and news, He took his last breath at the AIIMS hospital during a pancreatitis treatment and the authorities shared that he died in the hospital at around 07:42 am. On 8 December 2022, he was transferred and admitted to the GTB hospital for diagnosis of gallbladder stone-induced acute necrotizing pancreatitis with modified CTSI and then transferred to Safdarjung hospital on 27 December 2022. Later sometimes, doctors referred to admit him to AIIMS hospital and he was transferred to 11 January 2023 where his death was confirmed by the doctors. IM is the short form Indian Mujahideen and this terrorist played a main role in a wave of lethal bomb blasts across India. This attack was done in the times of 2000s. At the time of his arrest, he was 33 years old and a resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and he was also called Pappu. He was admitted on 6 February 2010 to Tihar central Jail number 8/9 and then on 7 July 2022, he was transferred to the central jail number 15 in Mandoli.
The Batla House encounter defines a gunfight between Indian Mujahideen terrorists and Delhi Police Special Cell personnel where this incident took place in the Jamia Nagar of Delhi on 19 September 2008.
