Taking to Twitter, one of Xi Xi’s colleagues shared the devastating news. He wrote that it breaks his heart to share that the much-beloved writer has passed away. Following the announcement of the news, people rushed to their accounts to pay her heartfelt tributes. Confirming the news, Hong Kong AFP channel also paid the beloved author tributes. Holmes Chan wrote that Hong Kong literary giant Xi Xi, best known for her playful, evocative tales of city life, died of heart failure this morning. She was 85 at the time of her passing and left her loved ones in nothing but profound grief.

What Was Xi Xi Cause Of Death?
It is coming forward that Xi Xi was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989. She was receiving treatment for the dreaded disease from a reputed hospital. The surgery also resulted in her getting several kinds of health complications. Reports claim that the cancer surgery affected her right hand and she was forced to write with her left hand only. Although Holmes Chan disclosed the author’s cause of death, any official confirmation regarding the same is awaited at this very moment. Talking about Xi Xi, before becoming a successful writer, she worked as a teacher in Hong Kong. She enjoyed popularity in both Taiwan and mainland China because of her work. She even got the top honor in the senior division of a writing contest run by Learn-Mates while she was a Form 3 student. In 1957, she completed her education at the Grantham College of Education.
