According to reports, the student was found dead on Friday inside a Dodge Charger in a campus parking lot. Talking about the deceased student, Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart said that the student was male. Confirming the news, Thomas Hudson, President of Jackson State University, said that out of respect for the family and due to the ongoing nature of the investigation. He further added that it is with a heavy heart that he confirms the sudden passing of the JSU student.
The loss of a young person is always a devastating circumstance for their campus community, added Hudson. “Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time”, said Thomas Hudson. Apart from sharing the saddening piece of news, Hudson did not reveal anything further.
