In recent news, Devin Willock passed away. It is reported that he was involved in a fatal car crash. However, at the time of the accident, he was not alone and was with a member of Georgia’s recruiting staff Chandler LeCroy. Other than him, two other staff members were also present. Luckily, they did not sustain life-threatening injuries and happens to be in stable condition in the hospital at that time. On another side, Devin could not survive and succumbed to his injuries. According to reports, the crash took place in the early hours of Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Athens, Georgia. The saddening piece of news was shared by the university through a statement. It was said that Georgia football player Devin and a recruiting member were reportedly killed in a car wreck in Athens. The news is surfacing all over the internet and is sweeping the attention of the netizens.

It is no doubt to say that a large section of people is saddened to learn about his passing. Releasing a statement, the university said that the entire Georgia family is devastated by the tragic loss of football student-athlete Devin and football staff member Chandler LeCroy. Two other members of the football program were injured in the accident. It was added that they are both in stable condition and that they will continue to monitor their status with medical personnel.
The university went on to write that Chandler and Devin were two special people who meant so much to the University of Georgia, the football program, and, the athletic department. They asked everyone to keep their families in their prayers as they are going through a very difficult time. Willock passed away at the scene of the collision, while LeCroy later passed away from her wounds in the hospital. Fortunately, Georgia’s football team’s season has ended, so there are no upcoming games for them.
As the entire institution laments the death of a player, friend, and more, the remainder of the university’s athletic teams will probably pay tribute to him at subsequent matches.
