Angelo was born on March 22, 1937, in Brooklyn a Boroughs in New York City. He was raised by his parents in the Bensonhurst section of the borough. He loved to listen to songs from a very young age and used to listen to Berlin’s “What’ll I Do,” which also sometimes made him cry. He also used to play different-different types of musical instruments in his school days when he was in Lafayette High School orchestra he used to play Piano & French Horn.

After that, he attended Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York on a full scholarship, and after two years there, he graduated from Manhattan School of Music and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 1960. During an interview in 2019 with his niece, Angelo said that in his college summer days he accompanied many singers at resorts located in the Catskill Mountains. “I had to play a lot of the standards, so I learned quite a wide range of music,” he said.
Further, he added, “I had to learn them very quickly, and learning so many different types of music was a tremendous help later on in my career.” In his fifth year at Dyker Heights Junior High In Brooklyn, he was teaching music to seventh-grade students and composed a Christmas musical for his students which was telecasted on PBS station WNET in 1964. In his career, Angelo has also collaborated with many popular musical artists like Nina Simone, Shirley Bassey, and David Bowie.
But unfortunately, Angelo Badalamentino died on 11 December 2022 and we have lost a gem of the English music industry. He was an amazing artist and always be remembered in our memories. His family is still in shock that they lose him. He was 85 years old at the time of his death and the cause of his death is not revealed yet, but according to the reports, he got died by natural causes as he was very old.
