Who is Sydney Sierota?
Born Sydney Grace Ann Sierota on the 21st April 1997, in Chino, California USA, she is a musician, singer and songwriter, best known to the world for being the lead singer of the band Echosmith, which also consists of her siblings, Noah and Graham, while their oldest brother, Jamie left the group in 2016. So far, the band has released one studio album “Talking Dreams” in 2013, and several EPs, including “Inside a Dream” in 2017.

The only daughter born to Jeffery David and his wife Linda Sierota, Sydney is of part-Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry, with the three aforementioned three brothers, Noah, Jamie, and Graham. Sydney’s father Jeffrey is a musician and producer himself, and surrounded by people from the music industry, the siblings started listening to pop-rock music, and inspired by the success of such bands as Fleetwood Mac, U2 and Joy Division among others, they all became sure of their own success and formed the band, Echosmith.

Career Beginnings
With Sydney the lead vocalist, Echosmith recorded songs such as “Lights”, originally by Ellie Goulding, and “Set Fire to the Rain”, by Adele, and drew attention to the band, and with the help of their father who is their manager and producer, the Echosmith soon struck a recording deal with Warner Bros. They started recording their own songs and slowly started releasinga steady stream of singles, while also performing at various gigs across the USA. It was in June 2013 that the band performed free at a Warner Bros. Records in Burbank, CA concert, streamed simultaneous through Echosmith’s YouTube channel. They toured the whole summer that year across the USA and Canada as well, and it was in October that the band released their debut album “Talking Dreams”, which reached No. 38 on the Billboard 200 chart, while it topped the US Heatseekers chart, launching Sydney and the band to stardom.

Rise to Prominence
Sydney and Echosmith continued to make music, releasing a string of EPs while also touing the nation once again. They were a part of the Vans Wrapped Tour in 2014, and also made their television debut, appearing on “Conan” in June 2014 performing the song “Cool Kids”, which soon became a hit, followed by an official music video for the song, which now has more than 105 million views. The band then suffered a loss, when Jamie decided to due to his impending parenthood, to be replaced by a session musician named Josh Murty, but the Sierota siblings continued as a trio. Sydney and the band made a major move forward in 2016 when they collaborated with The Goo Goo Dolls on the song “Flood”, released on the album “Boxes”, which is the eleventh studio album of the famous rock band.
Since entering into 2017, Sydney and the Echosmith started working on their second album, however, they had few delays, and have so far only released the single “Inside a Dream”, and an EP of the sam
e name. Most recently they made another music video for the song “Get Into My Car”.
