He is Caucasian and has brown hair and brown eyes. His father married his mum in early January 1970, prior to both of them graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (in Indiana County), but the actor’s parents divorced after adding his sister named Kristen. Marc himself was a student of Girard High School, where he played basketball and reached the Pennsylvania Boys AA state championship.  Having matriculated, he enrolled into Wake Forest University, where he was also active in basketball, and graduated in 1994, and during which he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Despite his wishes to make it into a team in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Marc moved to England, where he also played basketball for Manchester Giants. After that he planned on becoming a lawyer, but eventually changed his mind and pursued his acting career.

Acting Career

Finally deciding what he was going to do career-wise, Blucas made his acting debut with the role of Evans in the television movie entitled “Inflammable” in 1995, and followed by portraying Bench Knicks in “Eddie” in the following year. In the following period he had plenty of projects, most importantly appearing in “Pleasantville” in 1998, which allowed him to collaborate with actors such as Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon and William H. Macy. The previously mentioned movie, which follows the story of two ‘90s teenage siblings trapped in a ‘50s sitcom received a generally positive response, as evidenced by being nominated for three Oscar Awards. Marc then had a smaller role in “Clueless” in 1999, and in the same year joined the cast of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, a renowned cult TV series, portraying the role of Riley Finn in its 31 episodes, gaining even more attention from the media.

Career in Early 2000s

As of 2002, the actor joined the cast of “Sunshine State”, portraying Scottie Duvall, and in the same year played the role of Paul Loomis in “They”, opposite Laura Regan and Ethan Embry, however, the movie, which follows the story of a psychology student whose childhood phobias begin to come true, received negative and mediocre responses from the audience. In 2003, Marc played one of the main characters of “Prey for Rock and Roll”, which was originally released in early June 2004 in Italy. In 2007, he starred in “The Killing Floor”, opposite Joel Lifford and Shiri Appleby and in the same year, he portrayed John Kelly in an episode of the renowned television series, “House”. After that, Blucas had support roles in numerous projects, and most importantly ultimately landed the role of Matthew Donnally in “Necessary Roughness” in 2011. The series was nominated for a Golden Globe Award, and received a generally positive response from the audience. Having finished with his work on the series in 2013, he joined the cast of “Killer Women” as Dan Winston, and subsequently appeared in eight episodes.

When it comes to Marc’s recent career, he played Howard in “Looking Glass”, the movie which follows the story of a couple who purchase a motel located in a desert, as strange and mysterious events begin occurring there. The actor is currently working on multiple projects, including “The Fix” and “Unearth”, which are both in post-production. Overall, he has had 65 acting gigs which have allowed him to establish himself in the acting world.
