Rosa was born on the 19th December 1972 in Chicago, Illinois USA, and is one of five children of Joyce and Rocco Blasi, with sisters Marina and Tasha, as well as brothers Rocky and Michael. Interested in acting from a very early age, Rosa dived into the world of acting at the age of eight, when she joined the prestigious Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, Illinois. During her youth, she was also a member of an improvisational comedy troupe, The Second City. Apart from all these, Rosa also attended singing lessons for 13 years, and is a classically trained mezzo soprano. She also attended dancing lessons for five years, as well as piano classes, also for five years.
