Career
Immediately after graduation, Jill began pursuing a modeling career. First of all, for two years she was employed as a Cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys American Football team, then she passed onto Dallas Mavericks basketball team for one year, before going on to tour Korea, Israel, Egypt and Japan with the United Service Organization and United States Department of Defense. She is also remembered for her performances in the Monday Night Football event, and The Miss Texas Pageant. Eventually, Jill moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue her acting career full-time, following the small role she had in “City Guys” in 2000, as the cheerleader captain. In the same year, she obtained the role that is probably her most significant contract until today, as Antoinette ‘Toni’ Marie Childress Garrett in 137 episodes “Girlfriends”, from 2000 to 2006. Over the course of the next three years, she had several minor roles, all of which were in films, before in 2010 came her next TV series role, as Gillian in “Gillian in Georgia”, which was this time the lead one, and thus a heavy contribution to her career. She has since appeared in a few more shows, including “Sleepy Hollow” and “Ash vs Evil Dead”, and she as of mid-2018 is involved in a post-production stage film.
