Radha Mitchell Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education

Born Radha Rani Amber Indigo Ananda Mitchell on the 12th November 1973, in Melbourne, Victoria Australia, her name Radha has Hare Krishna faith origins, while Rani and Ananda mean queen and joy, respectively in Sanskrit – her mother was traveling India in the early ‘70s, which resulted in a rather creative name for her daughter. Radha is a daughter of Adriana Mitchell, a model and a fashion designer, while her father is Norman Mitchell, a filmmaker.

However, her parents divorced in Radha’s early years, after which she spent her time between two homes. She would often visit her father’s studio which made her fall in love with the acting, and it was in her teenage years that she started taking her first steps towards becoming an actress. She went to St Michael’s Grammar School in St Kilda, from which she matriculated in 1992, then moved to the USA, where she started studying fine arts at the University of California.
