Ricky Nixon Wife: Is He Married To Melissa Huynh?
Ricky Nixon and Melissa Huynh have been engaged since 2017, but they have not tied the knot yet.
The couple met through a mutual friend and hit it off despite their 24-year age gap. Nixon proposed to Huynh on Valentine’s Day in 2017 with a ring worth $15,000.
According to Nixon, Huynh has been a positive influence on his life, helping him overcome his addiction and depression issues.
He also said that she is not interested in his fame or money but loves him for who he is. However, their relationship has not been without challenges.
In 2019, Nixon was arrested for allegedly assaulting Huynh at their home in Port Melbourne. He was charged with unlawful assault, recklessly causing injury and criminal damage.
He pleaded not guilty and claimed that he was acting in self-defense after Huynh attacked him with a knife.
The case was dismissed by the magistrate in 2020 due to insufficient evidence and inconsistencies in Huynh’s statements.
Huynh also withdrew her complaint and said she wanted to reconcile with Nixon.
In January 2021, Nixon was involved in another controversy when he was filmed arguing with other passengers on a Melbourne tram.
He was accused of being racist and insensitive after he told a woman who said her son had died by suicide that it might have had something to do with her.
He also suggested that another woman had the coronavirus because of her Asian appearance.
Huynh defended Nixon and said that he was not a racist and that he was upset by being filmed without his consent. She also said that he does a lot of work for charity and has a big heart.
